Support The AiQ Consulting Team at the Vitality London 10,000!

A group of runners from AiQ Consulting are running the Vitality 10,000 in aid of Bliss – the charity for babies born premature or sick.

Our runners – Marina, Rachel, Matt, Nicola and Olivia – are looking forward to raising funds for this worthwhile charity. It may be a new challenge to some of the team who haven’t run a 10k before, but for our experienced runners it will be a chance to raise money for Bliss, and take in the London sights in a very different way!

We’ve chosen Bliss as our charity as it is an organisation very close to our hearts. One of our work colleagues recently went through a distressing time with a sick newborn baby girl, who we are pleased to say is now getting stronger every day. All the money we raise will go towards supporting this fantastic charity as they help families deal with the distress and heartache of newborns born sick or premature, as well as campaigning for changes and enabling life changing research for these babies.

Why Bliss is so important

Bliss exists to give every baby born premature or sick in the UK the best chance of survival and quality of life. We all know a friend, work colleague, family member that has gone through a distressing time with a newborn. 1 in 8 babies in the UK are born premature or sick and in need of neonatal care.

The UK also has one of the highest rates of premature birth in the world, ranking 134 out of 184 countries, with 60,000 babies are born prematurely in the UK each year. Many of these babies will need urgent neonatal care after birth. Bliss supports families, funds research and works with professionals to give every child who needs neonatal care the best start in life.
