AiQ update

After another action-packed 12 months for aviation, as well as for AiQ and our clients, we thought it might be useful to detail some of the projects we are involved with to provide some scope on the range of work we can undertake.

We continue to work for a variety of airports including HeathrowSchiphol, Bristol, Newcastle, Newquay and Farnborough. Our work at Heathrow is across a wide range of programmes, in fact we are involved with 4 of the 6 current H7 programmes:

  • Efficient Airport
  • T2 Baggage
  • Carbon and Sustainability
  • Asset Management

Under the Heathrow Efficient Airport programme we have been working on a major project at T2 to implement check-in automation involving 29 airlines and 5 ground handlers as well as various suppliers and HAL teams. It is a multi-year project to realise capacity through check-in optimisation with a wide stakeholder remit.

This year we have also worked with the following Heathrow teams; Business Change, Infrastructure, PMO and Ops Planning. Our work has covered all terminals so we have an extensive operational knowledge of the different processes in the different terminals. We also have a wider knowledge than just terminals having previously worked in areas such as Snowbase, Cargo and Control Posts. The AiQ team are well versed at working with multiple stakeholders across a wide range of disciplines.

The highlight of the year for AiQ was being named as winners of the SME Net Zero award at the Heathrow Supplier Awards 2023! This industry accolade recognises and celebrates our significant contribution to Heathrow’s Sustainability and Carbon programme as well as meeting overall Heathrow 2.0 objectives. You can find out more about the ZEV project here.

We continue to make solid progress as a business following the disruption of the pandemic. In the last year we have recruited a new Airport Planner and two Airport Analysts and are hoping to strengthen the team further with a Senior Analyst very soon. We continue to have an office presence in the World Business Centre at Heathrow and a head office at Cranfield University Technology Park giving us close links to UAM, eVTOL and sustainable green technologies at Cranfield.

Our EV fleet continues to grow, as Maggie the MG joined EVie the Fiat earlier this year, supporting our airside survey team.

As you can see AiQ can provide a wide range of services including consulting, operational surveys, demand forecasting, capacity planning and carbon reduction.

If you see us landside or airside at Heathrow do stop and say hello, we’d love to grab a coffee and have a chat!
